Ross sent me this via email@example.com:
Happy Spring amigo! I finally have carved out some time to spend a weekend at home so, with today's glorious weather blazing up the backyard, it seemed obvious to put together a quick quiver photo shoot. Seeing as you reign as eminent pig pontificator, it figured it would only be proper to send along some snaps of the swine.
The collection consists of:
1. 1958 (?) Velzy Jacobs balsa pig, 9'9". Formerly a member of the Surf A Pig family. Restoration by John Cherry.
2. Early 1960s Gordie pig, 10'. 3/4" redwood stringer, redwood fin, wood tailblock.
3. Early 1960s Hobie pig, 9'10". 1.5" balsa/redwood t-band stringer, multi-laminate checkerboard wood fin, wood tailblock.
4. 2012 Jim Allen pig, 10'. 1/2 inch balsa stringer, classic weight foam, balsa/cedar fin by Yancy Toland/me. Glassing by Studio 609, Ventura.
Though seemingly redundant, each of these boards checks a unique box in my quest for the perfect pig and adds yet another chapter to my crew's quirky and idiosyncratic design library. If only we had enough waves to do them all justice!
Be sure to let me know if you ever plan on heading up to point break country--I'd love to catch up over a burger and a beer. Vaya con dios, compadre.
Go For It,
here's some shots from the Jim Allen board's construction process:

me chunky brother Russ sent this the other day. post like this stoke me out!!!! Hi Mike,
Check out this new beauty from Jools and his team at Gulf Stream Surfboards. This board is 9'8" of stunning craftsmanship. The Triple stringer is iconic, aesthetically beautiful and shall ever be part of the longboard heritage. Since the glory days of the 50's and 60's the triple stringer has provided not just strength but also beauty. Surfers like Phil Edwards, Billy Hamilton, Mike Hynson and Lance Carson were captured riding these standout designs by the likes of Ron Stoner and Leroy Grannis made these boards part of history and I have always been drawn to their beauty.
Thought I'd send you a few picks of the latest Wild West Shooter from Gulf Stream Surfboards and a few words!!Hope all is well Mike and take care my Chunky Brother Russ
